Chris Jowett, a Chartered Valuation Surveyor, established the business in 2009. Chris has over 35 years experience in the Kirklees and Calderdale property markets and is a familiar and highly regarded figure in the Yorkshire property and amongst the professional and business fraternity of Huddersfield, Halifax and Brighouse.
After qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor in 1981, Chris joined the Halifax branch of Eddisons as an Assistant Valuer before being promoted in 1984 to run Eddisons' Brighouse office.
Following Eddisons acquisition by the Leeds Permanent Building Society in the late 1980s, Chris was offered the chance to set up and manage the Huddersfield branch of estate agency Brearley-Greens. After almost 20 years in the post Chris started his own company, Jowett Chartered Surveyors & Estate Agents, based in the same Market Street premises.
As a member of RICS, Chris dedicates a number of hours monthly to Continue Professional Development, ensuring he can always offer the optimum knowledge and consumer advice in residential home sales and lettings.
Today Chris and his team manage residential sales, Professional valuation work, as well as land for developers. Proud to be an independent estate agent and a dedicated family man, Chris has never swayed from his true belief of delivering honest, professional advice in a courteous manner.
Kim has worked alongside her husband Chris within the family business since we opened our doors. Kim assists with the administration of the business as well as dealing with customer enquiries, negotiating sales and managing lettings on behalf of clients.
Chris and Kim's daughter, Gwen, joined the family business assisting with customer enquiries. She is now following in her father's footsteps studying Real Estate Management at Sheffield Hallam University, she will become a Graduate Surveyor in July 2019.
Seona has worked in property lettings and sales for over 20 years, alongside Chris Jowett. Offering secretarial services to the business, Seona is a familiar and friendly voice on the phone to many of Jowett's long standing customers.
Anne joined the firm in 2015 as Property Consultant, she is a very valued member of the team and assists in making sure everything is running smoothly with your house sale and letting. Anne is dedicated to making sure every client is happy with the service we provide.
